Many children struggle with learning their maths--as their parent, you may feel like it's your duty to help. After all, they'll need quick math skills to help them throughout high school, college, and life. You'll need time, strategy, and patience to help your child work with and enjoy the quest of conquering these figures, but it's guaranteed to be worth it.

Every child has a sponge like brain, meaning that they will absorb almost all information as long as it gets them curious. When children are curious, their brain activates the Explore – Test – Repeat process to find the answer. The better the understanding of the subject, the better to Master the subject.

Many children face challenges when it comes to word problems, for example:

Peter has three apples. His mother gives him another two apples. How many apples does Peter have?

As compared to:

3 + 2 = ?

Is there a difference in the answer? It all comes down to visualizing the numbers and getting the equation correct.

MathBrain program with Play-to Learn activities excite children and switch on all compartments of the brain.

The Play-To Learn activities will stimulate their curiosity and activate their 5 brain abilities to explore from different angles. The child will visualise with clarity and process with dexterity. Subsequently, critical thinking becomes second nature for the child and problems seem less overwhelming.

This is done through a unique BrainThink learning methodology where MathBrain instructors raise children's curiosities and encourage them to explore-test-repeat. The child gains understanding and eventually masters it. When children think, they learn. Their mind goes through the channel of Input-Process-Output where their 5 Brain Abilities (Attention, Visualisation, Logic, Memory and Processing Speed) are fully stimulated. Over time, this develops into a growth mindset.

At Math Monkey, Math is given a twist, a creative jump that will open up the minds of young children. Vedic math principles uniquely form the development of Indian programming expertise a fact that is well known today. Math Monkey MathBrain program exposes children with Vedic math principles to develop their growth mindset to solve problems from multiples angles. The growth mindset is invaluable. To many of us, Vedic math may be confusing ! The truth is, our brain is confused from traditional memory-based learning, which leads to our fixed mindset. Children going through the Math Monkey MathBrain program will have a great advantage in school over their peers.

Quite simply, Math Monkey's MathBrain program with BrainThink Learning approach has many similarities with the activity-based learning at international schools. Even if you choose to put your child in national schools, his or her mind would have been opened up, giving him a powerful thinking flexibility and various perspectives that many of his or her peers will lack. When children THINK, they LEARN!

What is Vedic Math? Vedic Mathematics is the name given to a supposedly ancient system of calculation which was "rediscovered" from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji Maharaj (1884-1960). According to Tirthaji, all of Vedic mathematics is based on sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae. For example, "Vertically and Crosswise" is one of these Sutras. These formulae are intended to describe the way the mind naturally works, and are therefore supposed to be a great help in directing the student to the appropriate method of solution.

A childs brain has massive potential and Math Monkey teaches Vedic Math techniques to unlock this potential in a natural way. Moving away from traditional memorizing methods, Math Monkey uses methods that complement the children’s natural learning ability.
