Apart from Japan cherry blossom, recently the social media has made Sydney's street another hotspot as it is the most photographed floral archway in the city.
If you haven't noticed, it is the jacaranda season when the purple-blue hue descends for a few weeks at the McDougall Street, Kirribilli. This has making chaos in Sydney as cars are struggling to make it down to the street as people are standing in the middle of the street to get their snaps, and putting their lives at risk.
"It's difficult to drive there without hitting a tourist. They are out in the middle of the road. We all love it and we are understanding but we don't want the tourist hurt," said chair of Milson Precinct Jillian Christie.
While some also suggest that official jacaranda festival should be organised, and the street should be changed into a one-way street for the six weeks the blooms are out in full force.
On the other side, some local netizens also commenting on this matter.

"It is becoming quite dangerous - and you often see enraged locals honking their horns as they drive through the arch," said Mr Benny Brooks who lives on the jacaranda-lined street.
"I feel for the other residents - Sunday morning is especially busy and the street is becoming hazardous with babies and children on the road...people need to slow down to make it safe," he added.
To this, the council also released a statement last year saying it was working closely with the relevant authorities regarding safety on the street that has become a social media celebrity, in much the way as Melbourne's graffitied Hosier Lane.
To all the tourists who plan to witness the most photographed floral archway in the city, please do be careful and don't block take photos in the middle of the street, please!
